FAQs

Will the DJ meet with me to discuss my event needs?
Yes, we can definitely schedule a consultation to discuss details about your event ahead of time. These meetings can take place at your place of choice or over the phone. We prefer to meet with our clients in person whenever possible. We feel The meetings will give you the opportunity to get to know your DJ and for your DJ to get to know you, as well.

Do you charge for travel?
There is a travel fee if the event is more than 30 miles away from the Stockton city limits. The travel fee will be determined at the time of consultation meeting.

Is there a deposit required and what type of payment methods are accepted?
A non-refundable retainer of 25% of the total balance is required to secure services for your event. The balance due is required two weeks prior to your event date.
Acceptable methods of payment include: personal checks, cash, and all major credit cards.

Is the retainer refundable?
Retainers cannot be refunded, as they are used to hold your wedding date and ensure that your DJ will be available.

What are the differences in your DJs?
The only differences in our DJs are their individual personalities and styles. However, you can expect professionalism and an excellent level of service from all of our DJs.

How will the DJ choose the music for my event?
We can provide you with a music reference list. However, the music selection is a collaborative effort between you and your DJ. During your pre planning meeting with your DJ, he will work with you to determine your musical tastes; which styles/artists you enjoy, and at the same time discuss which you might consider “Do Not Play List” candidates. This will ensure that the music that is played at your event is tailored to your personal preferences.

Do you offer lighting?
We offer a wide variety of lighting packages and options.  Lighting adds ambiance and sets the mood for your wedding or event. We normally provide Lighting for the dancing area with all our packages. However we also offer Custom Gobos and Ambiant and Decorative Uplighting. Please call us for your special request lighting quote.

How does the DJ dress?

Our DJs will always dress in proffesional attire depending on event type. Weddings may require shirt and tie or even a tuxedo. Private parties may be a semi formal. You may request what attire you would prefer for your event.

Will the DJ take requests at my wedding?
Your DJ will be glad to take requests from your guests during your wedding or event so as long as you have given him permission to do so. If a particular artist or song is on your Do Not Play List, your DJ will honor your preference and will ask for an alternative request.

Do you take breaks?
During your wedding, we do not take breaks.  We work throughout your wedding in order to ensure that everything flows smoothly.

Should we tip our DJ?

Your DJ will work hard to ensure that your wedding is a success. If you feel your DJ provided you with great service, a tip would be appropriate but is not required.
